Mens Style Trend Watch @ Pitti Uomo 2010

Photo Blogger Tommy Ton captured some of the nattiest men on earth for GQ Magazine during this year’s Pitti Uomo Fashion & trade exhibition in Florence, Italy. Men’s Fashion and Lifestyle Aficionado picks out the trends to watch out for and jack.

Document Holders: A couple of stylish men were spotted carrying one and they are so effortless and undeniably masculine even the average joe should be able to jack one and rock it with ease.

Double Breasted Blazers: The major sartorial dialect that was spoken at Pitti Uomo was ‘double b blazers’. They are way up on the fashion radar and if you don’t have one hanging in your closet, you probably started reading my blog today :o)

Combat Shorts: They are starting to get dressed up with a blazer and a couple of years ago this would have been considered sartorial faux pas. But you know as seasons change and years pass mens style minds evolve.

Colored Pants: Italian men are known for their ability to rock color with ease but this is not exactly rocket science. Notice how they throw on blue with any color to give it a sense of formality.

Pegged Cuffs: They are kinda like the intro for eccentric footwear. Pegging the cuffs of your pants sets of the right tone for colored or patterned catchy footwear; the eye that follows through your trousers down to your footwear is not startled as it was properly conditioned to experience such sartorial exactitude.

Bottega Veneta Spring 2011 (Milan Mens Fashion Week)

Tomas Maier created a very relaxed collection that was less about fit and probably more about fluidity, movement and ease of wearing. The bags were amazing and my personal favorite pieces from the collection were the drop notch neck tees.
